Executive Stress Management

By John Burdett

No organization can afford to put talent management on the backburner. The loss of experience as the baby-boom generation retires, the overall shortage of talented leaders, the absolute need to engage and retain high-potential employees at every level of the organization, and an environment which demands that organizations continually do more with less, all combine to make talent management a Board-level priority.

Moscow and Regional Update

By Edmund Harris, The Moscow Times

When looking at the Russian employment market in 2006 and early 2007 there are no big surprises for anyone who has been following it closely over the last few years — just as ever, companies are expanding across the board and faster than they can locate the specialists that they need. But at the same time there are signs of developing maturity and diversity. Salaries are rising on the back of overall economic stability, not just as a result of this being a job seeker's market, and are becoming more closely indexed to skills and experience. Given the high degree of dynamism and mobility, loyalty is increasingly important for employers. Ability is valued above anything else and most talent is now homegrown.
